Along with the development of the era, the pipeline transport, as the most important way of the energy delivery in petroleum?chemical industry, is bound to become one of the concern questions in the world. Due to use for a long time, the pipe inevitably must be affected by different degree of corrosion, which will have serious consequences whether from the economic perspective and from environmental point of view, if not timely detected and caused leakage accident. Because the pipeline detection can avoid or reduce pipeline accident, fully know the conditions of pipeline, scientific predict pipeline operation situation of the future, guide the owners economic reliably pipeline maintenance, changes the past insufficient maintenance and excess inadequate maintenance to the emergency maintenance. Hence, developing the long distance oil and gas pipeline detection and improving the level of pipeline repair is the important guarantee of digging the service life of old pipe, preventing accident and ensuring of pipeline safe operation. Therefore, the use of nondestructive testing technology to detect pipeline to ensure safety in the industrial production has very important significance. Widely applying pipeline inspection at home and abroad are the technology of ultrasonic testing, the eddy current testing and the magnetic flux leakage testing.This first briefly introduces the foreign development situation of the oil pipeline inspection technology and the domestic development present situation and development trend. The importance of the development of our country pipeline detection technology is emphasized. The mechanism and reasons of pipeline corrosion are described in detail, the advantages and disadvantages of three kinds of detection methods are compared. The principle of magnetic flux leakage inspection technology and its structure are analysized. In actual detection task, the key design is the Ma Hui line special pigging and geometric detection scheme. The scheme contains the pipeline engineering overview, organization arrangement, construction procedures, special pigging operation, standard geometric detection operation, technical analysis, emergency emergency processing and other ABSTRACT important parts.The relationship between the detecting data and pipe quality is anslyzed in detail. Finaly, Events and reasons of the pig card blocking in two tests are analyzed during Ma Hui line pigging detection and a kind of effective method is proposed.
