Ceramic materials is very excellent, and is used in more and more fields,because of its various aspects performance. The most common Ceramic materials is the ceramic tile in the daily life. In this paper, on the basis of reading a large number of domestic and foreign literature, first of all the various suppression technology of ceramic tile are expounded, including the structure and principle of the corresponding technology. On the basis of that, this paper has made the detailed introduction about numerical simulation in the powder forming technology applications, especially focus on the numerical simulation method based on discrete element method.At present, the ceramic powder molding process and mold shape size are basically according to the experience of workers, or through trial and error to determine, this is not only the high cost and low production efficiency. With the continuous development of modern computer technology, the application of numerical simulation method can solve the above problem very well. In this paper, it is concluded that the complete simulation process of powder forming technology,and analyzed the relationship between pressing force and different pressing speed. At last, by multiple sets of simulation experiment,in order to have a detailed analysis about the density of blocking body for the possible influence factors including the pressing speed, mold size and the particle size of the powder.Based on the analysis of the discrete element method, especially for the discrete element method in the hard sphere model and soft ball model analysis has certain academic significance. Method for powder forming process analysis have some practical value in engineering. Especially for the first time will be based on the discrete element software EDEM simulation test method is applied to the powder compacting process of ceramic tile, can in the powder forming technology for the future EDEM application provide certain guidance function.
