| Z-pinch is one of important ways to implement inertial confinement fusion(ICF). To simulate the preparation of deuterated polystyrene(DPS) composite fibers used for Z-pinch, a small amount of aluminum nano particles were introduced into the PS as conductive groups to prepare the polystyrene/aluminum(PS/AlNPs) composite fiber. Further, in Z-pinch, the aluminum has the tracer significance and element diagnosis. In the paper, PS and PS/AlNPs materials were prepared firstly to study the spinnability and the spinning features of PS and PS/AlNPs materials.PS and PS/AlNPs are prepared via dispersion polymerization, where the influence of initiator concentration, reaction temperature on the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of PS are investigated. The structures of the products are characterized by FTIR, XRD and GPC. Results show that, the molecular weight of PS and PS/AlNPs was in the rage of 5×104~25×104, and the molecular weight distribution is within 1.7, when the concentration of initiator is 0.4wt%~2wt%, the reaction temperature is 75℃, and the reaction time is 10h; after the surface being modified by PVP, AlNPs are coated by the polystyrene via dispersion polymerization, and PS/AlNPs composites with excellent heat stability are obtained, in which the molecular weight distribution of polystyrene matrix is less than 1.7.The appropriate spinning temperature ranges of PS and PS/AlNPs are determined according to viscosity-temperature curves, which are 220℃~240℃ and 240℃~260℃, respectively. The spin ability and non-Newtonian behavior of samples is assessed through capillary rheometer. The result of the rheological indicates that PS has a better spin ability at higher molecular weights in the scope of 5×104~25×104, the composites within 10wt% AlNPs exhibite good spinnability.The influences of spinning temperature, rate and pressure on the diameter and fineness of PS fiber are studied, and the properties of PS fibers are characterized by single fiber tensile strength tester, TG, XRD, FTIR. The results show that, the average diameter of PS fiber is 24.8μm, the smallest diameter is almost 13.1μm, and the filament fineness is 6.3dtex, when the spinning temperature is 220℃ under the pressure of 10 N at the spining rate of 90m/min; the breaking strength of PS fiber is 19.8cN and elongation is 41%; the crystalline of PS fiber was improved with the increase of the spinning rate; the PS resin did not get any structure damage during the spinning progress, and anti-heat performance of PS fibers did not change.The influences of spinning rate on the diameter and fineness of PS/AlNPs composite fiber are studied when the spinning temperature is 240℃ and pressure is 10 N. The composite fiber properties were characterized by SEM-EDS, single fiber tensile strength tester, TG, XRD and FTIR. The results show that, the minmum diameter of composite fiber is 10.5μm at the ratio of 70m/min; AlNPs were dispersed homogeneously in the matrix of PS/AlNPs, which coated by PS have a good antioxidant capacity; Though the breaking strength of composite fiber is declined comparing with the PS fiber, it can still satisfy the requirement of Z-pinch wire-array.The properties of PS/AlNPs fibers prepared in this paper can meet the characteristics and requirements of Z-pinch wire-arrays, and provide stable technical support for Z-pinch DPS/AlNPs composite fiber. |
