Rosin is an important renewable natural resources, three kinds of rosin monomers had been synthesized on the base of rosin in this paper, such as dehydroabietic acid trimethylolpropane ester(DATE), Maleic rosin ethyl ester(MREE) and acrylpimaric acid. Various analytical techniques such as FT-IR, UV,HPLC, HNMR, and CNMR were employed to evaluate the chemical structure of the rosin monomers. Furthermore, series well-defined linear amphiphilic rosin polyester were synthesised reacted with diacid, polyethylene glycol(peg)through these rosin monomers. The Steglich Esterification method was introduced in the synthesis process, which is a efficient method especially in overcoming space steric hindrance, reacting at low temperature, easy purification and less “three wastes”, providing a facile method for rosin monomers and their polyesters. At last, we used resonance scattering method,fluorescence emission method, surface applanation tonometry method to investigated the phase transformation of polyester with concentration or temperature in real time. The results provide theoretical basis for the application of rosin polyester.
