Due to the excellent properties held by Linen/PLA matrix composite such as ability of completely biodegradation, high strength, the Linen/PLA matrix composite material has been regarded as a popular subject in the domain of polymer.Screw extrusion (Screw Extrusion) is a melt extrusion mixing method to fabric Linen/ PLA matrix composite effectively. The properties of screw extrusion systems and the selection of the screw thread of the extrusion is the key to the preparation of such composites. These elements have a direct impact on the purity, production efficiency and the mechanical properties of Linen/PLA composite. In this paper, we have analyzed the impact of preparation on the PLA/Lin composite. The main parameters of preparation are feeding rate, type and speed of screw thread, and the distribution of temperature in the axe direction.(1) In the Co-rotating twin screw extrusion system, with a feeding rate of 4kg/h, speed of screw thread on 150r/min, we have got a composite with highest Young modulus-6490MPa(62.5% higher than pure PLA) and highest impact toughness-20.9kJ/m2 (16.1% higher than pure PLA). With a feeding rate of 2kg/h, speed of screw thread on 150r/min, we have got a composite with tensile strength -64.6MPa (36% higher than pure PLA)(2) The speed of screw thread also has a signally negative impact on the size of the fibers in the composite,In the occasion of a 4kg/h feeding rate, the average size of fiber decrease from 156 μm to 133 μm when the screw speed increase from 150r/min to 300r/min.(3) The feeding rate has a signally positive impact on the size of the fibers in the composite. In the occasion of a 150r/min screw speed, the average size of fiber increase from 123 μm to 156 μm when the feeding rate increase from 2kg/h to 4kg/h.(4) Meanwhile, we also use the software called Ludovic to simulate the parameters of the twin-screw extrusion process, to predict the time necessary for a stable mix status. The result of simulation is corresponding with the result experimental. The error is limited in the range of 3%.
