As environmental pollution and energy crisis become more and more serious, scholars from all over the world are trying to find high-efficiency, low cost, environmentally friendly and stable catalyst system in order to alleviate or fundamentally solve the problems of environment and energy. Due to the unique physical and chemical properties, carbon nanomaterials have attracted extensive attention. The carbon-based nanocomposites, which are combined with carbon nanomaterials and other materials, not only have the advantages of the original composition, but also can improve the shortcoming of pristine materials, and realize the designability of property. In the paper, we synthesis CQDs and RGO, and composite with other materials(BiVO4, LDHs etc.) to form nanocatalysts, and then the photocatalytic and electrocatalytic performance of the obtained nanocomposites were explored. The main contents are as follows:(1) Two kinds of CQDs/m-BiVO4 nanocomposites were synthesized by sonochemical-sintering and hydrothermal synthesis respectively, and the as-prepared nanomaterials were characterized by SEM, TEM, HRTEM, EDX, XRD, Raman and UV for morphology and property, and then CQDs/m-BiVO4 nanocomposites were used as catalysts for the degradation of toxic pollutant under visible light irradiation, and they all showed excellent photocatalytic properties.(2) CQDs/NiFe-LDH nanocomposite was synthesized by one step hydrothermal method, then the morphology and property of the catalyst were characterized by SEM,EDX, TEM, HRTEM, XRD, UV, Raman, IR, XPS, AFM and PL. The obtained material was applied for the oxygen evolution reaction, we found that CQDs/Ni Fe-LDH nanocomposite performed high electrocatalytic activity and stability.(3) RGO/ZnCo-LDH nanocomposites electrocatalyst was prepared via simple one-pot coprecipitation method, and characterized by SEM, EDX, TEM, HRTEM, XPS,XRD, Raman and electrochemical testing for morphology and property. TheRGO/ZnCo-LDH nanocomposites exhibited outstanding electrocatalytic activity and durability for the oxygen evolution reaction.
