It has been widely used in many areas, for example, biomedical research, environmental pollution detection, food safety research, military detection. Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy(LIBS) is plasma spectrum which is produced by sample atomic gasification and ionization under high temperature, It also is a relatively new technology for analysis of composition and content of material. TheIn the experimental study, a Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy(LIBS) instrument is established which is mainly equipped with a pulsed Second harmonic generation 532 nm Nd:YAG laser and a portable spectrometer. This research records the laser spectroscopy data of specific soil sample containing Cr and the different levels of alloy sample; This research determines the optimal delay time by vast experiments; The different background noise intensity spectral data is processed by external standard method, reference element internal standard method and background internal standard method respectively. Draw the following conclusions:1. This research records the Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy data of specific soil sample containing Cr and the different levels of alloy sample under different delay time. With Cr425.44 nm and Pb405.78 nm for the study, draw the background signal intensity and signal to background ratio with time evolution graph of characteristic lines. When the delay time is 401 us with weakest background signal intensity and better signal to background ratio, the optimal delay time is 401 us.2. For the high background noise spectral data with the delay time is 100 us, the characteristic line of Cr425.44 nm and Pb405.78 nm is processed by external standard method, reference element internal standard method and background internal standard method respectively and draw the element content curve. The linear correlation coefficient of Cr element is 0.9955, and the linear correlation coefficient of Pb is 0.9651 and 0.9887, After a comparison study, background internal standard data analysis method obtains high linear correlation coefficient of measuring element content curve in the alloy and soil, while element content curve does not show a good linear correlation by other two methods.
