In this paper, pyrite and gold-bearing pyrite as the research object, by a single mineral flotation tests investigated butyl xanthate, Butylamine aerofloat, diethyl dithiocarbamate three kinds of collectors, copper sulfate activator and sodium sulfide, lime, sodium hydroxide three kinds of inhibitors on the flotation properties.Electrochemical workstation, detecting mineral surface reactions cyclic voltammetry, explore collectors, activators, inhibitors on pyrite and gold-bearing pyrite electrochemical action of the mechanism.Using Materials Studio molecular modeling software to study the pyrite and gold-bearing pyrite surface properties and bulk properties, explore the impact of gold-bearing pyrite flotation properties of internal and external, to provide some guidance for the production practices.Pure mineral flotation results showed that:Under natural conditions, pyrite and gold-bearing pyrite in the whole range of the amount of test butyl xanthate and diethyl dithiocarbamate floatability very similar.Butylamine aerofloat dosage test within the scope of both the flotability of difference is bigger.The amount of variation in the range of copper sulfate, and pyrite gold- bearing pyrite float difference is relatively large. Pyrite and containing gold ore floatability great difference when using lime and sodium hydroxide as an inhibitor,but when used as an inhibitor flotability Na2S little difference.The electrochemical results show that:under alkaline conditions, gold-bearing pyrite promotes the electrochemical reaction with xanthate, diethyl dithiocarbamate and black drug; under neutral conditions, gold has not changed pyrite and xanthate electrochemical reaction, but inhibits electrochemical reaction of pyrite and diethyl dithiocarbamate.Sodium sulfide and xanthate, sodium sulfide and diethyl dithiocarbamate solution exist, gold-bearing did not change in the electrochemical mechanism of sodium sulfide and xanthate pyrite surface.gold-bearing promotes sodium sulfide pyrite surface electrochemical reaction.Calcium hydroxide and collectors exist gold-bearing was no effect of xanthate and diethyl dithiocarbamate in the electrochemical reaction of pyrite surface, gold-bearing inhibits the electrochemical reaction of pyrite and black drug.The calculations of the atomic charge showed that gold was present as Au1+ in pyrite.Covalent Au-S bonds and anti-bonding states of Au-Fe bonds were observed to form in pyrite, and a clear hybridization was observed between the S 3p and Au 5d states.The p-type semiconductivity of pyrite was changed to n-type semiconductivity, and Au impurity energy levels were introduced into the energy band.Results gold-bearing pyrite surface affect the electronic structure of the show:pyrite gold easily absorbed in interstitial sites; compared with the ideal surface, after gold replace sulfur bit total state density on the surface of pyrite obvious wear over the Fermi level and band gap no significant,pyrite surface having metallic properties, enhanced surface conductivity.
