Seed coating, an advanced technology in the treatment of seeds, has been widely used to protect crops and seeds from diseases. Flowable concentrate for seed coating (FSC) was the most popular in China. In this paper, Dufulin and Chlorpyrifos were selected to develop a mixture pesticide in the form of FSC. The results as following:1) The ratio of dufulin and chlorpyrifos in the formulation was researched according to joint toxicity tests.2) The study on producing technique for the mixture,15% dufulin and chlorpyrifos FSC, showed that the best processing should be the dynamic wet grinding, which included universal pulverizer, bead mill and high-speed shear. The best formulation was also developed by selecting optimal assistant ingredients.3). According to product performance testing, the quality control specification was established. The properties of this product mainly concern viscosity, suspension rate, pH, granularity, film-froming time:viscosity=160-600mPa.s; suspension rate>90%; pH=5.0-8.0; granularity≥98%; film-froming time<20min.4) The bioassay under field trial indicated that the controlling efficacy against rice black-streaked dwarf disease and underground pest was fine. The test in rice field showed that the controlling efficacy of this product against rice black-streaked dwarf disease and underground pest was 70.2% and 66%.
