The Application Of Simulation Design Of Steel Wear-Resistant Castings In LFC Process

The design of casting process has been using traditional methods: making experience in design,which is unscientific, by personal expertise and a small amount of practical experience for some products,in the age of that the computer has not been applied universally. This process design costs long time and is high-cost and low quality, and should not be promoted. With the development of computer technology and the popularization of computer applications, series of Casting Simulation Design Softwares, which contain much casting technology and experience, have been researched. For example, the 9 mainstream softwares which have been widely used at home and abroad: MAGMAsoft, ProCAST, Anycasting, Flow-3D, SolidCAST, Ansys, Novacast, HUA ZHU CAE and FT-STAR.In the three years, it is a foundation for carrying out this task in theory and professional practice skills by more systematic learning in postgraduate courses and practice contents.The research mainly establishes the common platform of simulation design of casting process, and is focused on establishing the operating platform of simulation design of casting process in LFC. In order to apply their knowledge, the author, combining with the actual situation, mainly have made the simulation design of casting process of the Φ320mm, Φ 340mm andΦ 360mm pavers spiral blades with the help of mentors and technology officer in business. The results show that the results of simulation design consistent with the actual production. It better resolves the castings quality issues in production which is owing to the inappropriate casting design.The article describes the main content of the simulation design of casting process, that mainly take theΦ 360mm pavers spiral blades for example, by applying the common platform of simulation design of casting process. Some unreasonable design have been optimized by simulation result, and qualified process scheme is obtained. This process scheme guides the production practice effectively, saves product development cost, and obtains high-quality casting., and it also reflects that the simulation design of casting process make a big difference to the design of casting process in technology.
