With the rapid development of our country’s economy, there is a increasing demand for oiland gas. But with continual exploitation of high permeability reservoirs, the low permeability oilreservoir exploration and development is draw more and more attention. It is estimated that onlyin Jiyuan, Wuqi, Jingan, Huaqing, Xifeng area of Changqing oil field, the expected ultra-lowpermeability oil and gas resources proven reserves is1.7billion tons. However, ultra-lowpermeability reservoirs has low porosity, low permeability, low abundance and strong stresssensitivity, at the same time combined with strong reservoir heterogeneity and the shortage ofnatural energy, all of these makes it very difficult to development the ultra-low permeabilityreservoirs in Changqing.Therefore, the application research of ultra-low permeability reservoirs developmenttechnology, like well pattern optimization design, advanced water injection technology andlayered fracturing technology were carry out, according to the characteristics of the ultra-lowpermeability reservoir in Changqing oilfield. And which also will increase the oilwell productionin ultra-low permeability reservoirs in Changqing oilfield and also has direct guiding to improvethe economic benefit of ultra-low permeability reservoirs.
