In paper industry, filler is one of the commonly used in paper raw materials. Theaddition of fillers can not only decrease the cost of paper, but also can improve paperoptical properties and printing eligibility. In this paper, carboxymethyl starch wasadopted to improve the preparation of starch-hybrid fillers which is similar to thecommonly used filler. By using carboxymethyl starch sodium with inorganic salt ionsin a certain concentration, reaction time under a certain temperature and then formedhybrid precipitates, the precipitation can be used as papermaking filler. First of all, thisthesis used two different ways of preparation, preparation in the pulp and preparationoutside the pulp, respectively explored three kinds of inorganic salt ions, calcium,aluminum and magnesium ions, is commonly used in industrial, the preparation ofaluminum ion effect. By comparing the physical properties of the handsheet and thefilter performance of the pulp, determined the calcium ion was adopted to improve thepreparation of carboxymethyl starch-hybrid filler. Then by comparing the physicalproperties of the handsheet and the filter performance of the pulp with two differentways of preparation of products, determinationed the preparation of carboxymethylstarch was scheme2-preparation outside the pulp preparation. Comprehensiveconsideration the result of orthogonal experiment and single-factor experiment, bymeasuring the content of calcium ion in drying product to determine the degree andrate of reaction,in order to yield of high and low determined the best preparationtechnology conditions. At the same time, the product produced in different preparationconditions were added to the pulp, compared each product produced in differentpreparation conditions of the effect on the physical properties of the handsheet and thefilter performance of the pulp. It is concluded that the best preparation technology asfollows: reaction temperature80℃,60min reaction time, reaction concentration2%,reaction ratio1:1.5. Finally, the optimal preparation process under the condition of thepreparation of products added respectively with GCC and PCC to the pulp, evaluated the effect of the physical properties of the handsheet, the filter performance of thepulp and the ash content of the reserve. Results showed that adding starch base filler,to fill the paper with the strength of a larger increase, but will reduce the filteringperformance, but also add starch based filler when loading paper ash content isseparately using GCC, PCC of ash more than double, showed that starch based fillercan improve the retention rate of GCC, PCC in paper.
