Undoubtedly. people pursue the enterprise value maximization at the expense of environment lead to this serious environmental sititution.Under this circumstances, we need to consider that whether there exist a banlance point between environmental performance and financial performance. which makes enterprises pay attention to both environment protection and economic growth at the same time.Enterprise to sustainable development concept of environmental performance must be included in the management of the enterprise, so. whether the coordinated development of environmental performance and financial performance, can find a chance points between them makes enterprises pay attention to both environment protection and economic growth at the same time, this is a serious problem to be solved.Therefore, through the research of the relationship between enterprise environmental performance and financial performance, on one hand, financial performance is helpful to the development of enterprose economy, on the other hand. environmental performance do benefit to environment sitution improvement. The aim is to reach coordinated development of enterprise environmental performance and financial performance.Based on the above issues, by means of literature analysis method, normative analysis method and empirical analysis method, we pay attention to the relationship between enterprise environmental performance and financial performance. This research takes social responsibility theory, sustainable development theory, stakeholder theory, circular economy theory and synergy theory as the theoretical basis. It defines the relevant concepts of environmental performance and financial performance, at the same time, the synergistic effect and influencing factors of environmental performance and financial performance are also analyzed. By reference to relevant literature, we select the data of listed companies from2010to2013. By choosing discharge per unit of output, environmental management certification and monitored enterprises as enterprise environmental performance proxy variables, return on total assets and sales increase ratio as enterprise financial performance proxy variables, we research the relationship between enterprise environmental performance and financial performance both theoretical and empirical. By analysis the relationship between enterprise environmental performance and financial performance, we put forward related policies form both external management and internal governance to achieve a win-win state, which finally insure the sustainable development of enterprises.
