Welding is one of the important technologies of modern manufacturing, Automatic welding is important for promoting the modernization of the industry. Automatic welding has obvious advantages compared with traditional manual welding. In this way, the working environment, stable welding quality, promote production efficiency, etc have been improved. Automatic welding is promising so that welding robot has been developing rapidly and vigorously. However, the current welding robot intelligence, integration, miniaturization still have improve space. It is the design of the mobile welding robot control system, it is based on PC104 embedded system. The main contents of this paper are as follows.The article introduces the general structure of the mobile welding robot system. It presents the design of the control system hardware in detail. The control system hardware includes five modules: power supply module, host module, collection module, drive module, chief control module. The design of each module is discussed in detail.Design a rotating arc speed control subsystem hardware and software. Realize the constant of the rotating arc motor speed and the adjustment of the gear. During welding, the current sampling frequency is associated with the scanning frequency of rotating arc. Rotating arc sensor speed regulation system has important effect on seam tracking.It is necessary to design a wired controller for the welding robot. We can manually control the movement of robot and welding torch movement in horizontal and vertical direction. Besides, set the welding parameters and the control of the robot welding is appropriate. Then the goal that the human-computer interaction of the mobile welding robot has been achieved.Set up mobile welding robot experiment platform. Debug the system and make sure that the performance fits the requirements. To verify function of the control system, choose various shapes of weld and do welding experiments.
