Nano-TiO2 has special performance, so it has become a widespread material in the chemical industry, semiconductor, photocatalysis and other fields. This paper mainly studies that finding a best way to prepare three morphologies TiO2 precursor by changing different factors. TiO2 precursor will become a template to prepare different morphology of Li4Ti5O12. The sample will be analysis by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM) and Thermo Gravimetric Analyzer(TGA). Results for this study are as follows:The synthetic optimum conditions of linear titanium oxide precursor is that TiO2 content is 0.6g, content of NaOH is 0.7g, reaction time is 48 h, reaction temperature is 180℃, steam-methanol ratio is 15/40. The formula of linear TiO2 precursor is Na2Ti4O9. The above factors is the key point to prepared linear Na2Ti4O9. Reaction mechanism can be explained with the classical theory of crystal growth, can also be explained by a model of splitting.The synthetic optimum conditions of flowerlike titanium oxide precursor is that volume of butyl titanate is 2ml, reaction temperature is 130℃, reaction time is 48 h. The formula of flowerlike TiO2 precursor is Ti(OC4H9)(OH)3. The above factors is the key point to prepared flowerlike Ti(OC4H9)(OH)3. The process of synthesis of flowerlike Ti(OC4H9)(OH)3 is that crystal form bubbles ball, and bubbles burst, it becomes fluff ball, at last the crystal continue grows to flower sphere assembly.The best conditions of sphere titanium oxide precursor is that volume of butyl titanate is 3ml, steam-methanol ratio is 9/1. The result indicates that water is the key point to affect morphologies of sphere TiO2 precursor. The formula of sphere TiO2 precursor is H2Ti2O5.The formula of sphere Ti O2 precursor is H2Ti2O5 by thermogracimetric analysis. The formula of sphere Li4Ti5O12 precursor, which is prepared by sphere TiO2 precursor as template, is Li4Ti5O12?2H2O. Crystal must form explosive nucleation in a short time to grow to become spherical morphology.Titanium oxide precursor for template preparation of lithium titanate precursor, which become Li4Ti5O12 after 600 ℃ calcination The linear Na2Ti4O9 as template to prepare linear Li4Ti5O12 precursor is feasible. And the crystallization characteristics of sample is good. The sphere TiO2 precursor as template to prepare sphere Li4Ti5O12 precursor is infeasible. The sample with sphere morphology will be changed into sheet product, Li4Ti5O12 precursor will be lost its original morphology. The flowerlike TiO2 precursor as template to prepare flowerlike Li4Ti5O12 precursor is infeasible, too.
