The study of organic-inorganic coordination polymers has become an active areaof chemical industry recently. The research about its construction and properties haveattracted considerable interest in the chemistry of coordination. In this work, a series offluorene or pyridine briding ligands were synthesized. The self-assembly chemistrybased on these ligands with transition metal ions was investigated. Finally, twenty-threenew polymers were obtained and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction,UV-Vis and TGA. Moreover, the host-guest properties, catalytic properties andthermochromism property of several compounds were investigated.I. A porous2D Ni(II)-MOF with a open rhombic channels was synthesized basedon a fluorene-bridged ligand (2,7-di(1-H-1,2,4-triazole)-9,9-dimethylfluorene)and NiCl2under MeOH solvothermal conditions. Due to its good stability,Ni(II)-MOF is able to reversibly adsorb guest solvent molecules and iodinespecies in a SC-SC fashion. Moreover, the obtained I2@Ni(II)-MOF can be ahighly active heterogeneous catalyst to promote the silylcyanation of aromaticaldehydes, and it can be recycled and reused four times.II. A series of fluorene-bridged ligands capped by N heterocyclic group weresynthesized. Eight novel compounds were obtained by the co-ordination oftransition metal ions with the organic ligands. The influence of the carboxylatetemplates on the self-assembly between the fluorene-bridged ligands and Zn(II)、Cu(II)、Ni(II)、Mn(II) salts was investigated and four novel coordinationpolymers were synthesized. The research shows that the anion templates andcarboxylate templates have a direct impact on the structure of the formedcompounds.III. Two pyridine-bridged ligands L13and L14including N heterocyclic andcarboxylate groups were synthesized. The self-assembly of the ligands andtransition metal ions Co(II)、Ni(II)、Cu(II)、Cd(II)、Zn(II) has been investigate.8new compounds were synthesized based on them. The thermochromism property of compound19[Cu(L13)2(H2O)2]nhas been studied. This studyindicates the temperature and the coordinated water can tune thephysico-chemical properties of compound19.The study prove that: the MOFs built from transition metal ions with the organicFluorene or pyridine briding Ligands possess novel topology structure and excellentfunctional properties. It is important for the realization of MOFs’ applications incatalysis and thermochromic aspects.
