Valve seat part is one of the most important parts of hydraulic system, the machining quality of which impacts the working security and reliability of hydraulic system directly. It is known that, valve seat usually includes a serials of holes, burrs often exist in the intersecting line of cross holes. The maintained little burrs may easily lead to detects such as stress concentration and fatigue crack on the edge. Once the bigger burrs fall off into the hydraulic system during the valve seat works, the consequences may be severe. Deburring machining is the most effective and necessary measure to improve the quality and extend working life of the parts.The pulse electrochemical deburring machining is one special type of processing methods for surface finishing, which is developed rapidly in recent years. The characteristic of this method is that it works on conductive metal material of any hardness. The high working effectively and ideal surfacing finishing effect can be obtained with this method. To apply this method to the deburring of valve seat and realize automatic processing are vitally meaningful for improving the part’s quality and shorten its production cycle.The theory of pulse electrochemical deburring machining and considers the special structure of valve seat parts are studied. The three-axis CNC machining equipment special for pulse electrochemical deburring which is designed in order to improve the deburring accuracy and machining efficiency. According to the analysis of burr features and distribution, the efficient and practical cathode tool is designed. According to the technologic parameters and flexible processing requirement, a new kind of efficient and digital high power pulse electrochemical machining power supply is designed, which may satisfy the requirements for power supply parameters in most deburring cases. This also lays foundation for technologic parameter optimization of deburring equipment.The hardware construction, debugging of pulse electrochemical deburring machining system, the circuit simulation of high power pulse power supply and the elementary processing experiment for deburring machining equipment are completed. It demonstrates the feasibility of the digital and numerical pulse electrochemical deburring machining scheme, which makes the high efficiency, high quality and automatic deburring machining possible.
