Synthesis poly (N-isopropyl acrylamide)-block-butadiene-acrylonitrile-rubber (HTBN-b-PNIPAm) copolymers:Carboxyl-terminated poly (N-isopropyl acrylamide) (PNIPAm-COOH) was prepared from mercaptoacetic acid by free radical polymerization. Poly (N-isopropyl acrylamide)-block-butadiene-acrylonitrile-rubber (HTBN-b-PNIPAm) copolymers with moderate molecular weights (Mn=9000-13000) were synthesized from carboxyl-terminated poly (N-isopropyl acrylamide) (PNIPAm-COOH) and hydroxyl-terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile-rubber (HTBN) by condensation reaction. The copolymer was characterized by FTIR, NMR, GPC, UV-vis, fluorescence spectrometry and SEM. The results suggested that the poly (N-isopropyl acrylamide)-block-butadiene-acrylonitrile-rubber (HTBN-b-PNIPAm) copolymer was fluorescent and temperature-responsive. Moreover the rubber copolymer could assemble into spherical micelles in aqueous solution.In addition, the block copolymer polybutadiene-b-poly (ε-caprolactone) (HTBCP) was synthesized via the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone and hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene(HTBP), which was catalyzed by stannous octanoate[Sn(Oct)2]; then the macro-monomer of carboxyl-terminated poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide)(PNIPAm-COOH) was synthesized via the free radical polymerization in presence of a mercaptoacetic acid(MAA); finally the copolymer of polybutadiene rubber(HTBCP-b-PNIPAm) with moderate molecular weights(Mn=8000-15000) were synthesized via the condensation reaction, which was used polybutadiene-b-poly (ε-caprolactone) and the macro-monomer of carboxyl-terminated poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide). The copolymer of polybutadiene rubber(HTBCP-b-PNIPAm) were characterized by FT-IR, NMR, GPC, XPS, UV-Vis, fluorescence spectrometer etc. The results suggested that the copolymer of polybutadiene rubber was fluorescent which existed UV absorption at 274 nm and fluorescence excitation at 304 nm; besides the copolymer of polybutadiene rubber was thermo-responsive which existed a critical phase transition temperature(LCST).The Poly-butadiene rubber with the fluorescence and thermo-responsive properties will make contribution in the field of luminescent or separating material.
