Pipe laying is complicated and huge engineering, need to face a lot of problems, which include geological disasters. China is a earthquake geological disaster prone countries. As an important part of the long distance pipeline transportation process, the pipeline also go through an earthquake prone area. Of course, damage of the earthquake on the pipeline is not in doubt, but Ms or weak shock effect on pipeline is often overlooked, and at the end of major losses caused incalculable. Therefore, the research of steel pipe in the seismic earthquake or weak earthquake has great engineering significance.This thesis is a cross disciplinary research related to geology, soil mechanics and fracture mechanics, the main use of the failure behavior of elastic and plastic mechanics and finite element method in the seismic geological disasters on steel pipeline of modeling and computer simulation. The main work is that:This paper first discusses the domestic and foreign present research on pipeline’s background and significance, research of seismic research at home and abroad, put forward the main content of this paper is to study, And conducts the research to the Xinjiang earthquake disaster, geologic climate, pipeline transportation, finite element, ANSYS and seismic research methods, so as to get the research data.Secondly, through access to the data, we can build finite element model. In the different seismic load, then two kinds of ground and underground oil and gas pipeline were simulated and analyzed. Then pipeline of the initial crack and defect free pipe is simulated. At last simulation results were obtainedFinally, through the analysis of the results: Along the X direction(transverse) effect of loading seismic load of pipeline is more significant than that along Y direction(longitudinal) impact load earthquake load of pipeline; There is a great relationship with the load of crack extension direction, the force applied perpendicular to the direction of crack, crack propagation is much larger than the parallel; the sand as filling is a little better than the loess.
