The printing wastewater is produced by variety steps of dyeing industry like dyeing, arrangement and printing. It has complicated constituents and varieties nocuous organics. Besides, the concentration of contaminant and chroma of sewage are high either. These reasons make printing and dyeing wastewater a kind of sewage which is hard to be treated.This research has made a new iron-carbon micro electrolytic material which consists of activated carbon powder, Scrap iron and a variety of metallic oxide. In order to improve its performance, the ratio of ingredients, the sintering time and temperature have been adjusted to make the new material more stably and effectively. Besides, the research has used that electrochemical reaction combine with the micro electrolysis reaction and found the best condition though experiment to get better effct. The main research has 4 sections:1) The paper studied that how could the new iron-carbon micro electrolytic material treat the wastewater. The conclusion showed that the principle of the reaction contained electrochemical reaction, flocculation, physical absorption, oxidation-reduction reaction, the catalysis of metal-oxides and the effect of electro-deposition. A variety of complex reaction worked together to make the wastewater clean..2) The research has made a new iron-carbon micro electrolytic material which consists of activated carbon powder, Scrap iron and a variety of metallic oxide and determined the best reaction conditions: Fe:C was 1:1, CuO:Ti4O7: NiO:MnO2:CaO: Kaolin was 3:5:2:1:1:15, the pore-foaming agent was 3.5%, using the optical pure water as the adhesive, the sintering time was 2h and the sintering temperature was 1000℃.3) The conclusion of single factor and orthogonal experiment showed the best reaction conditions of using the new iron-carbon micro electrolytic material to treat sewage. When the pH of electrolyte was 4, the material dosage was 0.2Kg/L and the reaction time was 2h, the performance of the reaction could get its highest level.4) The paper tested when the new iron-carbon micro electrolytic material used in combination with the electrochemical reaction treating the wastewater could have the best results. According to the experimental results, the best condition of the reaction is that iron electrode combined with the new iron-carbon micro electrolytic material, the voltage was 5V, the pH of electrolyte was 4, the material dosage was 0.2Kg/L and the reaction time was 2h.
