Cu-20Ni-20 Mn alloy is a new high-performance elastic alloy with good plastic processing and mechanical properties. This material is a new kind of copper-based alloys with great potential.Cu-20Ni-20 Mn was studied by room temperature tensile, hardness test, XRD, etc. Mechanical properties and electrical conductivity were given an indepth analysis, and the influence of heat treatment process and aging process on alloy organization was also studied to obtain the change rule. Study and explain were conducted focusing on theoretical. Because of the strong corrosion resistance of alloy, simulated seawater immersion zone experiment was conducted to study the corrosion mechanism. Corrosion resistance was obtained by observing the morphology and corrosion rate. Conclusions are as follow.The plastic of alloy can be improved by solid solution aging treatment, which is also in preparation for the subsequent heat treatment. The best solid solution treatment process is as follow, Solid solution at 650℃ for 30 min and water quenching.Hardness, electrical conductivity, metallographic organization were analyzed, and the best aging process was obtained: Aging treatment at 450℃ for 72 h, and then air cooling.Electrical conductivity and hardness will be ascending simultaneously when conducting aging heat treatment process with the deformation rate of 30%、40% and 50%. Alloy conductivity changes a little in the late processing, but metal hardness is higher and higher.Alloy corrosion amount increases gradually with the increasing of corrosion time. The amount of corrosion rate is essentially unchanged in the early corrosion. Corrosion rate decrease at first and then slightly elevate to a stable value of 0.041mm/a whih is belong to the corrosion level 4.
