In this paper, using of excellent waterproof and moisture-proof performance of Parylene films and the vacuum evaporation of the special processing technology, modified on the surface of the wood. The Parylene films are deposited on the surface of the wood, in order to improve the waterproof performance of wood. Through the analysis and study on the wood surface properties before and after coating, and the systematic study of the coating process and a variety of tree species coating process, providing theoretical basis to modify wood surface by coating process and the promotion of coating modification technology.Firstly, this thesis studied the waterproof performance of the wood through the general coating process.By surface contact angle, surface free energy calculation, 24 h water immersion test, balance experiment of 7d and 14 d, and 24 h determination of water absorption rate, string, the radial size expansion rate and water resistance ratio, we found the wetting properties of wood descend, the surface free energy by 53.30J·m-2 to 23.34J·m-2, reduced by 26.96 J ·m-2, 24 h water absorption rate decreased by 50.73%, the 24 h string, the radial expansion rate decreased by 43.08%, 35.89%, water resistance ratio was 50.73%,indicating that the coating treated wood waterproof performance improved.Secondly, The wood surface were studied before and after treatment by using SEM 、EDS、FTIR analysis techniques. Parylene can in thin film form and adsorption form attached to the wood surface and wrapped in the surface of wood, but failed to complete coating, without any chemical change; In addition, the color analysis showed that the wood color did not change significantly.Thirdly, the paper used the method of single factor analysis, set the different experimental conditions, including the evaporation temperature, evaporation time. According to the experimental data of water as the reference standard, determined a set of process parameters. And by SEM analysis technique observed the surface morphology in this process. The results show that, the evaporation time of 5h, the evaporation temperature of 92DEG-97 DEG, compared to the untreated sample, the decline range of 24 h absorption rate reached as high as 81.26%, string, the radial size expansion rate of decline were75.57%, 65.55%,water resistance rate was 81.26%; the film was quality and flat, dense, small grain size and smooth. Finally, through the closed end and closed around experiment, we found that, after coating, the pipe hole end surface of the wood is still the main channel of water into the wood; At the same time, soaking 60 d test before and after the treatment of wood, and draw the characteristic curve of water. In addition, Dalbergia retusa,Pterocarpus erinaceus Poir, Fir for coating process, the 24 h water resistance rates were 90.31%,86.60%, 71.05%. The results showed that the wood in the other also can obtain better waterproof performance, and provides a theoretical basis for the promotion of coating technology.
