With the development of society and economy, pipeline transmission has become an important transport method for the world economic growth. Pipeline leak accidents happen frequently due to aging effect of the pipeline, corrosion and other natural or man-made reasons. This not only caused huge economic losses, but also leads to severe damage to the ecological environment, threatening the lives of people. Therefore, establishing a pipeline leak monitoring system poses important practical significance.This paper uses “ Data Acquisition- Data transfer- Remote data reception ” as the research route, through the design of date acquisition nodes, gathering nodes two function model and use Zig Bee and GSM technology implements the transfer of data from the sensor to the remote monitoring host. Among them, date acquisition nodes and the coordinator of gathering nodes set up a Zig Bee star wireless network by using Z-Stack protocol to complete the pipeline field data acquisition task; gathering nodes, transfer the pipeline field data to remote monitoring center. Date acquisition nodes use the wireless RF chip CC2530 as core processor achieve the perception of the physical parameters of pipeline, by using pressure, flow and temperature three types of sensor measurements; gathering nodes use “ wireless MCU(CC2530) + master MCU(the STM32F103) +GSM module ” architecture enables seamless connectivity of Zig Bee wireless network to a GSM network, and ultimately complete the task of remote data transmission.Finally, the design system to do the functional test. Test results show that the pipeline monitoring system is running in good condition, basically meet the design requirements, able to complete collection and transmission of pipeline operation parameters, accurately reflect the working state of pipeline operation.
