With rapid developments of modern industry and science and technology,high-performance technology products, precision parts, machining efficiency,completeness and the stability of Engineering Indicators mass production need to get to a higher level. So it comes the advanced grinding technology. High-speed grinding technology as the inevitable outcome of the development of science and technology,accelerates the promotion of the development of modern precision machining technology. High-speed grinding is an advanced manufacturing technology in recent years which develops quite fast. It not only highlights the industrial strength and innovation capability of a country, but also reflects the comprehensive national power.Hybrid bearing is the most widely used bearing structure by the high roll grinding, because it combines the advantages of hydrostatic and hydrodynamic bearings, which has broad prospects in the modern industrial sector, especially in high-speed roll grinder. In this paper, some research on a new high-speed roll grinder for movement on the bearing is carried out as follows:In order to improve the structure and performance of the hybrid bearing, with a least power as the objective function(OBJ), genetic optimization algorithm was used to optimize the design of the bearing. The optimization results show that not only the structure bearing size is reduced, also some key performance parameters have been effectively improved, which reduces the manufacturing cost of the bearing and improved its overall performance significantly by optimizing the design.In order to analyze the design of hybrid bearing operation conditions, a fluid dynamics software called Fluent is used on its simulation analysis. First, the structureof the oil film is built with the three-dimensional modeling software Soild Works,then we use finite element division software ICEM CFD to mesh. In the process of meshing, By comparing tetrahedral and hexahedral meshes in dealing with the merits of the film structure, the grid structure is further optimized during meshing Based on it, we calculate and determinate the various simulation parameters and set the boundary conditions.To study the influence of operating parameters on bearing performance, we get the change rules of bearing oil film at various contrast pressure distribution,temperature distribution and variation of flow properties by simulating different speeds and oil pressure. As the speed increases, the oil film pressure and temperature increase, but the pressure and temperature distribution don’t change significantly,suggesting a rational bearing structure and stable running conditions. The film supply pressure under different temperature are also analyzed. With the increase of oil pressure, the oil flow performance enhancements, the outflow increases and the overall oil film temperature drops. Fluent simulation analysis determine suitable wheel speed of 80 m / s high-speed roll grinder bearing speed to be 1500 r / m and the oil pressure to be 5Mpa.
