In this work, the ramie fiber and polylactic acid fiber were chose as reinforcement and matrix composites to prepare ramie reinforced polylactic acid composites board by compression molding, which both were high-performance and natural biodegraded. The composite has broad prospects and good economic benefits in the future days because of the extensive fiber material resources and natural degradation properties.In this paper, a new kind of Ramie/PLA double spandex covered yarn was prepared by twisting frame. The double spandex covered yarn took full use of the tense of both the structure and itself. By this means, the process was simplified and the sizing process was omitted. Meanwhile, the impact of the output roller speed and core yarn tension on mechanical properties of composites has been discussed. The results show that with the increasing speed of output roller, the mechanical properties of double spandex covered yarn present a trend of decrease the first increase and the ramie content present a slowly increasing trend.In this paper, three kinds of commingled yarn structure was processed and woven into fabric as the pre-pregnant. Then, the mechanical properties of fabric was tested. It turned out that the plain weave has the best mechanical performance than twill weave and the satin weave was the worst. The thickness was just the opposite.In this work, in hot-pressing single experiment of temperature, time and pressure were designed to look for a best hot-pressing condition. The ramie content and fabric density have been tested and compared. As for the tensile results, with the increasing ramie content and warp density, the same weft density, the tensile strength of composites getting better. In the condition of same warp and weft density, the tensile strength of plain, twill and satin weave increased in sequence.
