There is more serious impact on the stress state, water pressure, and mechanical properties of slope in the freeze-thaw cycles. To study mechanics, deformation and instability mechanism of slope during the process of freeze-thaw cycles, some integrated approachs such as theoretical analysis, experimental measurements and numerical simulation are adopted, Wulin Oil Shale Mine under Freezing and Thawing Condition is studied comprehensively, some useful conclusions for seasonal frozen soil slope are obtained.According to the theory of moisture migration, seepage during the freezing process and the seasonal frozen soil environment involving the temperature and stress field, the method of theoretical analysis has been adopted. Based on the basic failure mode and analysis mechanism of slope stability, stress field, seepage field and timeliness factors are considered respectively into stability analysis, a flat slope landslides,an arc melting landslide mechanics model and stability factor formula are established.The orthogonal experiment is conducted through samples brought back from Wulin surface mine. The mechanical properties are explored under the impact of freeze-thaw cycle temperature, freeze-thaw cycles and initial moisture content. The influence of temperature gradient, recharge amount of water and frost heave caused by different temperature gradients is further studied through experimental methods. Heave amount variation when the temperature gradient changes are observed.The variation law of temperature field and stress field in the process of freeze-thaw cycles are analyzed with FLAC thermodynamic module. Significant factor is obtained for further study of slope stability. The influence of slope stability caused by the freezing process, the melting process, moisture and freeze-thaw cycles are studied with the numerical simulation method.The fresh slope of the seasonal frozen open-pit has higher sensitivity to the freeze-thaw action, the unrecoverable residual deformation exists after a freeze-thaw cycle. Mining production、slope protection and monitoring recommendations are studied to give heip to improve productivity efficiency, security, and so on.
