BDE-209 is a major class of brominated flame retardants of PBDEs that are already widely presented in our various environmental media. To provide more bases for screening effective biological marker stressed by persistent organic pollutants, the effect of BDE-209 on the soil microbial community PLFAs, plant membrane lipid fatty acids and bacteria fatty acid was studied by GC-MS.The PLFAs of soil microbial community was relatively abundant when treated with 1~100 mg·kg-1 of BDE-209. BDE-209 had significant impacts on the characteristic PLFAs of soil bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes and the total microbial biomass. Fungi were more sensitive to BDE-209 and bacteria were more tolerant. The gram-positive bacteria were more likely to survive than the gram-negative bacteria under the stress of BDE-209. The microorganisms with 16:1ω7t characteristic fatty acid were stronger than those with 16:1ω7c characteristic fatty acid in stress resistance to BDE-209.The composition of rice variety Zhonghua11 and genetically-modified rice were both mainly 9 fatty acids, but the content of each fatty acid had significant differences.Palmitic acid had big content in all saturated fatty acids and α-Linolenic acid had big content in all unsaturated fatty acids. Palmitic acid was most sensitive to BDE-209 in leaf membrane lipid fatty acids in all stage of Zhonghua11, this fatty acids could be indicative fatty acid treated with BDE-209. Linoleic acid was most sensitive to BDE-209 in leaf membrane lipid fatty acids in all stage of genetically-modified rice. The result indicated that different genetical rice leaf membrane lipid fatty acids had different sensibility to BDE-209. The unsaturated fatty acids varied decreasingly as increase stage of both rices. The variation trend of unsaturated fatty acids and the index of unsaturated fatty acids was the same in different concentrations of BDE-209 and different stage of both rices, indicating that they had the same function in maintaining cytoplasma membrane mobility. The 18:1ω7c of Escherichia coli, G-, had the highest content of treated with BDE-209. The relative content of characteristic fatty acid 18:1ω7c of Escherichia coli was decreased with with the increase of BDE-209 concentration and increased with the extension of incubation time The characteristic 16:1ω7t/16:1ω7c of Escherichia coli increased with the increase of incubation time and had positive correlation with the concentration of BDE-209. However, the characteristic fatty acid of G+Staphylococcus aureus was not detected or the characterization was not obvious.
