Conjugated polymers have excellent optical properties and electrochemical properties due to their unique π electronic structure, they have been widely concerned and studied by researchers in recent years. The polydiacetylenes which containing 1,3-diacetylene structure could be synthesized by Glaser-Hay coupling reaction mildly and efficiently. This kind of polymer with special optical, electrical, magnetic properties, that can be widely used in many fileds, such as organic electroluminescent materials, chemical / biological sensing materials, high carbon materials, magnetic materials, optical information storage materials and so on.In this paper,we have synthesized three kinds of electron-rich acetylenic monomers that containing phenothiazine、carbazole and triphenylamine, two kinds of electron-deficient acetylenic monomers that containing quinolone and benzothiadiazole. In addition,a series of linear poly(aromatic diacetylene)s containing phenothiazine group, and poly(aromatic diacetylene)s of donor-accepor structure that containing quinolone group have been successfully prepared by Glaser-Hay coupling reaction.Their structures were characterized by FTIR 、1HNMR and UV-Vis.All of them exhibit great solubility in common organic solvents, such as toluene、chloroform、THF and so on.In this work, the thermal, photophysical and electrochemical properties of the copolymers were investigatd. All of the polymers have excellent thermal stability, the onest temperatures with 5% weight-loss of polymers were higher than 390℃,and the residues were still up to 79% after pyrolyzed at 800℃.Photoluminescent(PL) studies show that these polymers emitted bule or bule-green light in chloroform. The copolymers which containing D-π-A structure exhibited the ―solvatochromism effect‖ because of its presence intramolecular charge transfer. The linear conjugated polymers that containing quinolone and carbazole unit were influenced greatly by the solvent, as the polarity of solvent increases, the emission peak moved from the blue region to green region, and the maximum wavelength had a redshift of 74 nm. The HOMO energy level of the polymers were keep close to-5.60 e V,which shows that these polymers have good hole-transporting ability.
