Wuyang river is an important tributary of the Yangtze river water system. Along with the growth of the economy of water pollution is serious, the phosphorus,nitrogen and heavy metal pollution in water body has started to endanger the safety of drinking water. Diatom study karst ecological environment and the relationship between the heavy metal and TP, TN, select diatom instructions genuses, heavy metal pollution of the Wuyang river water system provides the theory basis for monitoring of heavy metals. As the research object, this article selects wuyang river of planktonic diatoms and benthic diatom were set 30 sampling, use Person correlation analysis, principal component analysis of diatomcommunity, genuses in water with heavy metals and TP, TN space distribution relationship, indicates a relation between screening of heavy metal pollution.The main results were as follows:1.Wuyang river diatom were identified 724 species of diatoms in the body, planktonic diatom diatom identified 196 species(including varieties) belonging to 2 classes, 6 orders, 9 families and 18 genera; Benthic diatom diatom identified 528 species(including varieties), which belong to 2 classes, 6 orders, 11 families and 28 genera。2.Through to the Wuyang river, the river of TN, TP, the determination of Cu, Cd, Cr, Pb, find the elements in the Wuyang river of point distribution exists obvious difference, but the metal concentration significantly overweight。3. The relativity between the abundance of planktonic diatoms and element Pb is 0.493**,(P < 0.01), highly significant differences, and the regression equation is y = 8.118 + 0.371x; the relativity between the abundance of benthic diatoms and Cr is0.469 * *(P<0.01), and its regression equation is y=16.510 + 2.737 x; the relativity between the abundance of benthic diatoms and element Hg is0.426 *(P<0.05), and its regression equation is y=13.264 + 6.588 x.4.The relativity between planktonic diatoms of Navicula and element Pb is positive relativity(r=0.305**, P<0.01), difference is very significant. Navicula aquaedurae Lange- Bertalot and Navicula pupula Kutzing var.are indicator species towards Wuyang River`s heavy metal pollution. The relativity between benthic diatoms of Achnanthes and element Cr is positive correlation(r= 0.561**, P < 0.01), difference is very significant. Achnanthes minutissima Kutzing var. Minutissima and Achnanthes saccula Carterare indicator species towards Wuyang River`s heavy metal pollution.
