This paper studied the application of parts of went-end agents in paper making industry. The study combined experiments in lab with application in production. In one part, we studied several factors which would influence the retention effects, such as changing the production process, furnish, the retention system’s process and devices of addition. We concluded the characteristics retention aid in paper making. In another part, we studied two factors which would influence the sterilization effects, such as interval of addition and stability of bacteriostasis. We carried on the study according to the production, and the study has been tested by the production. It is hoped that this study would be useful to the production.According to the study, there are five factors which would influence the retention effects.The effect would be better to add after the screen than before the screen.Appropriate Aluminium Sulfate.It is better to use binary retention system on high-speed paper machine and the more complex system.The PARETO mixed-technology would improve the retention effects, the paper quality, and the operation of paper machine.The PARETO mixed-technology would ensure not only the normal operation of paper machine and environmental protection, but also low cost.The dosage and interval of addition should be controlled to ensure the system in the ideal clean state.
