Based on the concept, characteristics and functions about micro reconfigurable manufacturing system, this paper has done the static and dynamic analysis about one kind of turning-milling reconfigurable micro-processing prototype in our lab. At the same time, two kinds of new mechanical module interface was studied and designed.In order to test the natural frequency and damping ratio of the turning-milling reconfigurable micro-processing prototype, the experimental modal analysis has been done. It proved that the machine has good frequencies and excellent dynamic stiffness. To understand the intension and deformation of the whole system and the major combining site, did the statics analysis of machine tools and it has enough strength to ensure the accuracy of the machine tool.Simulated modal experiment with ABAQUS/EXPICIT, extracted the time domain response of the impact load point by pulse impact analysis, Used the FFT transform to obtain the origin of amplitude-frequency curve and natural frequency. That can reflect the influence of interfaces on the dynamic property. Because of the small parts’ interface can’t do experiments, so use the impact analysis to obtain the amplitude-frequency curve and natural frequency. At the same time, it get the small deformation and high strength of the interface under the action of impact.At last, two kinds of new module interfaces that respectively used in the machine tool was designed. According to the stress distribution of the prototype in the actual processing. Done the statics and dynamics analysis for the two main structure of the machine tool with interfaces. After these work for module interface have laid a certain foundation for the application in reconfigurable micro-processing system.
