Al-Ti-C is a kind of efficient grain refining agent about aluminum and its alloy. It has excellent grain refining effect and declining capability. As for Al alloys containing Zr, Cr, Mn element, it plays a preferable role in grain refinement, it has become a new generation of grain refining agent which has replaced Al-Ti-B.But in the preparation process of Al-Ti-C grain refiner, the problems of C/Al interface wettability and TiC synthesis have become technological difficulties of Al-Ti-C grain refiner and an urgent need to solve the key technical problems. This paper studies the research on wettability and reaction behavior of C/Al interface under ultrasonic couple processing, Main achievements and conclusions of the research are as follows:(1) The sessile drop wetting system with ultrasonic couple processing and the preparation reaction system about Al-Ti-C master alloy with ultrasonic couple processing have designed. Among them, The sessile drop wetting system with ultrasonic couple processing can obtain high-resolution melting drops of photos, investigate the contact angle and contact radiu,analysis of the wetting properties, and such as ultrasonic couple processing, temperature, time, make the influence on C/Al interface. Al-Ti-C master alloy with ultrasonic couple processing contain the power control system and temperature control system and protection device, the power control system including ultrasonic generator, ultrasonic coupler and amplitude poles, it can generate steady high-energy ultrasound, which provides a good energy coupling reaction conditions for realization of interface wettability and full response.(2) In the research on wettability behavior of C/Al interface under ultrasonic couple processing,, The wetting dynamic curves are obtained from the sessile drop wetting experiment. It find that, with ultrasonic couple processing,, we can achieve good wetting C/Al interface, make the wetting angle smaller, and do not require a higher temperature conditions, be able to achieve a steady state process faster. The experiment analyses the measuring principle of dripping wet experiment, wetting mechanism and the wetting kinetics process.(3) Under ultrasonic couple processing, the local high temperature that produced by cavitations effect can promote the formation of C atoms the in thermodynamics, stop Al4C3 from being formed, change the way about the formation of TiC, improve the reactivity, promote the TiC synthesis reaction. In the preparation reaction system about Al-Ti-C master alloy with ultrasonic couple processing, ultrasonic,temperature,the content of Ti and time have an important influence on the second phase organization and distribution of TiAl3, TiC, and other process parameters in the reaction process on the preparation. Under ultrasonic couple processing, the process of TiC synthesis is not only C/Al interface physical wetting process, but also synthesis of activation reaction and mass transfer process. The driving effect of TiC particles on C interface that is made by ultrasonic coupling reaction promote the interface to update, which play an important effect on the realization of interface wettability and interfacial reaction.
