Isoprene Anionic Polymerization Studies

The effect of [n-BuLi], the reaction temperature and the addition of THF or TMIIEDA on the anionic homopolymerization of isoprene in the mixture solution of cyclohexane and hexane is studied. Kinetics equations for different polymerization conditions are obtained. Meanwhile, an experience relation between the microstructure of the polyisoprene and the reaction conditions is got. Much research work is done on the determination of the active seeds in different polymerization system. Some kinetics parameters of them are obtained. The contribution of different active seeds to the consummation of IP and the formation of 1,2- or 3,4-is confirmed.
