AbstractIn the introductory part of this thesis, the history and the basic trends of chemometrics have been covered. Based on the review of large numbers of literature, the research direction of the thesis is focused on two parts. One is the error analysis of second-order standard addition and its application, the other is the application of second-order calibration methods in fluorescent mixtures. The influence on the accuracy of analytical results caused by various elements in second-order standard addition was discussed by Monte Carrol simulation. Part of achievement was applied in real analytical determination. In chapter 2, the bias of results brought by algorithms was simulated. Exploiting several typical algorithms, simulation was carried out in such aspects as collinearity of spectra, degree of noise and the number of principal components. The results show that only an appropriate algorithm is chosen in three-way analysis according to the real requirements, could the best results be obtained. In chapter 3, effects of four factors such as the number of standard addition, quantity of standard addition, errors of volume and measurement on the accuracy of results in second-order standard addition method were principally discussed. Some results were obtained which could be regarded as reference in experimental design. The chapters 4 and 5 contain two applications using second-order standard addition. Direct determination of VB2, VB: and VB6 in compound vitamin B tablet by spectrofluorimetry SO^AM was performed with good results. Determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, anthrancene and 9,10-dimethylanthrace. in the presence of an unknown interference. 1.2,5.6-dibenzathracene with satisfactory recoveries was carriedout. In chapter 6, two complicated systems were studied using second-order calibrationmethod. Simultaneous determination of salicylic acid and gentisic acid in the presence of /j-aminobenzoic acid by using both excitation-emission fluorescence and second-order calibration based on alternating trilinear decomposition method. Acety (salicylic acid and naproxen in the presence of salicylic acid were also determined.
