Water-absorbing rate is a main property of super-absorbent resins, and affected by some key factors, such as component and structures. Porous structure is always an idea structure for improving water-absorbing rate. In this paper, by dispersion polymerization technique, porous high water- absorbing polymers were firstly prepared using acrylic acid(AA) and acrylaniide(AM) as the main raw materials in the presence of oxidation-reduction initiator and cross- linking agent. The influences of some factors (including the condition of preparation, the kinds and content of every component) on super-absorbents were studied. It was found that the best property (water-absorbing rate) of super-absorbent can reach 10.5. s (the weight ratio of water and super-absorbent resin is 10:1), when the volume ratio of CH3OH and H20 is 1:3, the weight ratio of PVA and monomers is 1梚 .2 percent of monomers, the degree of neutralization is 80% and the mole ratio of AA and AM is 7:1, the weight ratio of initiator agent and monomers is 0.4%, the weight ratio of cross-linking agent and monomers is 0.025%. The influences of the diameter of grain on the property of super-absorbents were also studied. In addition, in order to prepare super-absorbent, the reacting temperature must be controlled under 40t, and the reacting time was controlled within 40 mm. The products were dried in vacuum-drier at 100?105 ~C with the degree of vacuum at ? O.O95MPa. At last, the influences of microstructure on the water-absorbing rate were discussed simply. The Water-absorbing rate of this super-absorbent resin is up to a high level, and lay a good foundation for making further development.
