In this paper, the development of technology on inorganic bond and metallic-matric ceramic coating was briefly reviewed. By using H3P04 and Al(OH)3 as the main materials, inorganic bond was synthesized. The result of preparing metallic-matric ceramic coating by using the inorganic bond and ceramic aggregate was Introduced in detail. In the process of synthesizing inorganic bond, the kinetic behaviors of synthetic reaction, the influence of reaction temperature, Al/p and heat-treated temperature 憃n phases of inorganic bond were studied. In addition, the relationsiop between additive amount and maintaining time of inorganic bond was discussed. The inorganic bond with moderate acidity and good adhesion suitable for metallic-matric ceramic coating was prepared under the conditions that Al/p was 1.4:3 and synthetic temperature was in the range of 1200C ?40C. Further ,the effects of ratio of aggerate to bond, aggregate size, bond density and Al/p on the coating wear-resistance property were described in preparing metallic-matric ceramic coating. It was found that the wear- resistance ceramic coating with excellent properties was prepared under the proper conditions. To stiffen the coating, the method of using chemical stiffener or heating was practical. Under the condition of heating or reacting with chemical stiffener, the stiffening mechanism is that phosphate is ploymerized to the network of ploymer which could bond together fi-mly. The transitional layer formed by mutual diffusion on the interface and mechanical interlinkage combine coating with metal material firmly. This coating could bear over 10 times thermal lash of cold and heating circulation between 20 0C and 400 C. For the technology and character of metallic-matirc ceramic coating which is prepared by using inorganic bond, related report have not been found. The achievement in this research could provide not only theoretical basis for preparing metallic-matric ceramic coating made from inorganic bond, but also an effective way to solve the wear problem of metal pipeline in the industrial production.
