In this paper, to improve tribological performances of aluminium material, theeffect of technological conditions of preparing Ni-MoS2 self-lubricating compositecoating on the surface of aluminium materials on the friction and wear property ofmaterials was investigated.Pro-treatment technology of H3P04 anoxic method, double zincating method andZn-Ni dip plating method were compared. Compared with the former two methods, dipplating method was considered to possess a better property on the whole. The Ni depositused as an transitional layer with good adhesion, finer crystal and bright appearance onthe surface of aluminium material could be obtained by this pre-treatment method.Based on this, the effect of certain technological conditions on the hardness andtribological performances of Ni-MoS2 self-lubricating composite coating, such ascathode current density, temperature and particle concentration in the bath, wasinvestigated in detail. By investigating the relation between technological conditions ofNi-MoS2 composite coating and its friction and wear property on the whole,technological parameters of composite coating with optimum friction and wear propertywere obtained under the conditions of this experiment.Under the conditions of this experiment, when particle concentration of MoS2 in thebath is in the range of 3glL"?l2glL, Ni-MoS2 composite coatings obtained showsobvious effect of wear resistance and antifriction on the mating aluminium surface. Thisis due to the formation of interfacial MoS2 lubricating film which is uniform, successiveand integral. Hardness increase of composite coating also contributes to the effect.Compared with the serious adhesion wear of pure Ni coating and aluminium materialrubbing pair, the wear mechanism of Ni-MoS2 composite coating and aluminiummaterial rubbing pair is turned into slight fatigue.Under the conditions of this experiment, compared with pure Ni coating and GCr1 5rubbing pair, friction coefficient of Ni-MoS2 composite coating and GCrI5 rubbing palrdecreased from 0.209 to 0.155. Wear resistant of Ni-MoS2 composite coating is 3 timesto pure Ni coating. The wear weight loss of their mating GCr15 decreased from 1.5mgto 0.1mg.Abrasive wear-resistance of the Ni-MoS2 composite coating was investigated alsocompared with pure Ni coating, abrasive wear-resistance of Ni-MoS2 composite coatingimproves only a little.
