Laser is one of the most important inventions of 20th century, for which associate and penetrate with other subjects and technique, some new and top research fields appear. Thereinto, the development of laser processing techno is faster. Its scopes is being gradually opened up, and the scale is being enlarged , and its economy and society benefit is more and more remarkable. Laser cladding techno is important one of high power laser processing , which is highly regarded as a very promising techno of surface repair and strengthening. After many years research and exploiture , now, this techno has had considerable application size and upper technical level. Furthermore, the lastest information indicates that it has been used as a sort of machining means in the Rapicd Prototype.For further perfect the side-powder feed nozzle of our laser processing center, here a new coaxial nozzle is designed and trial-produced. And some study about it is done. First, the papers analysis and describe in theory the temperature field of moving point laser beam heat resource. According to the analysis of temperature field. We can see that in order to obtain good cladding purpose, there needs powder formed an even circularity powder shade, after it went out from the coaxial nozzle. On some assumptive basis special analytic geometry and numerical value analysis knowledge are used to analyse powder partical's special movement track and velocity after it is impacted in the nozzle. And computer programmes are worked out to calculated the course. Then , depending on over analysis and calculation, and combining correlative optics and machine design knowledge, the nozzle structure is designed. Finally, orthogonalizing experiment is used to ascertain right parameter range. Under the all right parameter, cathment efficiency of powder is computed. At the same time, the microcosmical organization is analysed. Some pictures of samples produced by the coaxial feed powder equipment.
