The samples of TS- 1 were synthesized following the organic method with different ratio of Si02/Ti02 ,including 1:10,1:20,1:30,1:40,1:50 andl:60.The characterization of TS- 1 was carried out by use of ICP, XRD, IR, Raman, and ThM .A1l samples possess the typical TS-1characters.The Raman characterization studies indicate the content of extraframework titanium increases with increasing titanium content. The relation between 1R spectrum and catalytic properties was investigated. The result indicated the method enclosing the sample with paraThn,to some extent ,avoids the influence of water and other absorbents on the intensity of the 960cm?peak. The upper limit for titanium content in TS-1 framework is around 2.5%.There is a correlation between I/I5 and catalytic activity in the TS-1 samples with no or little extraframework. titanium. The effects of the acid and base treatments on TS-1's structure and catalytic behavior are investigate and the possible mechanisms are proposed .The results indicate that the acid treatment has no effect on the size and structure of TS-1 particles .The IR spectrum indicates that the increasing number of Ti-OH is the main reason leading to the improvement of catalytic behavior after acid treatment .The studies of base treatment indicate that TS-1 catalytic activity for cyclohexane oxidation is greatly improved after base treatment .It is suggested that the formation of large micro pores and media pores is responsible for the improvement of catalytic behavior caused by base treatment.
