In order to decrease the size of fragmentation and reduce blasting vibration effects on the stability of eastern open pit slope of Tongshankou Copper Mine< this work involved two steps. First of all, based on the experiment in laboratory, this paper presented the optimum blasting parameters and applied it in practice. Secondly, the optimum blast parameters of each parts of open pit and spreading law of the wave of blasting vibration on the east of open pit was studied. Furthermore, the paper presented the method of decreasing blasting ground vibration as follows.1. It was proved that interval charging method not only improved blasting results but also decreased blasting ground vibration. So Tongshankou copper Mine should use interval charging method once the condition permitted.2. The sidelong firing method can improved fragmentation results while it can change the direction of the maximum intension of blasting ground vibration.3. Under the condition of immovability of the charging area of blast hole, the increase of the blast hole compression modulus not only improved fragmentation results but also decreased the blasting ground vibration because of the minishing of burden.4. The criterion of the damage of the eastern slope of open pit of Tongshankou mining by blasting vibration can be judged by dynamic stress ratios(DSR).5.
