In this paper, some slag complex coagulants made by industrial waste materials such as the fly ash from power plant, the water quenching slag ftom yellow phosphorus factory and the boiler slag from nitrogenous fertilizer factory were studied systematically. And these coagulants were treated to the black liquor from paper mill. The experiments showed the coagulant which originally made by fly ash has the best coagulable effect among the different kinds of slay complex coagulants; The coagulable effect of the coagulate by mix acids (HoSCu and HC1) was superior to that using single acid; and it would be beneficial for the improvement of the coagulable effect if adding sulphur-iron slag into the coagulant, that the functions of this coagulant 3# were superior to those of market-PY-type coagulant, AhCSO^, HaSO4. And the cost would far lower than the PY-type coagulant. Using wastes to treat wastes was realized and synthetically applied.According to the experimential result, a technological process that has some characteristics such as simple equipment, less investment, easy operation and management was given. In the paper, the absorptional function of the fly ash and the soaked efficiency of it by acid were investigated. The experimental result showed that according to the impurity from the paper mill, the smaller pellets had powerful absorptional function. The hydrochloric acid had good soaked effect on the iron in the fly ash and the sulphuric acid had good soaked effect on the aluminum in the fly ash. The mixed mechanism of the slag complex coagulants and the effect of Fe, Al, Si compounds on mixed action were synthetically analyzed. The slag complex coagulant has double functions of high absorption and coagulation. It will give reference for further research.
