Tungsten metallurgy is superiority conventional industries. In pace with consumes of high-class tungsten resources, the impurity such as Mo in the resources became more and more too many. It is important to separate Mo from tungsten with development of our national metallurgy.In this paper we discussed the characters and uses of the W and Mo by based to many literatures. The basic principle of the separate was be summarized.The Abinitio Calculation method was used to study the molecular structures of the W and Mo sulphid. It shown that MoS42" has higher electricenergy than WO/". The MoS4 " molecular was made up by S atom and the MoS42" was showed S characters as electric giving body and vacate track obtained molecular.The thermodynamic analysis of the molybdenum sulfidation has been investigated in detail. It shows that it is possible the MoO42" was vulcanized with the MoS42" in thermodynamic principle. The major factor is pH in the solution to affect the suffidation.The ion-exchange, ion-extraction and ion flotation technics was studied in laboratory. It shown that these method have different advantages, but have more insufficient to separate the Mo and W.By the energy determine theory of the separates reactions in Mo and W, the non-ferrous metal as sulphid was used as the reagent to separate Mo and W with the study in laboratory, the CuS was used as the reagent ot remove the molybdenum. The new technology of the selectively precipitation to remove the molybdenum. The news technology of the selectively precipitation to remove molybdenum from tungsten was established.
