| The LB films of photochromic materials are of interest as possible high density information storage media and light switching devices. Azo-chromophoric group are a typical candidate for functional LB films. Whereas, some researchers have found that the trans-cis photoisomerization was restricted, when introducing azobenzene derivatives into the LB films, due mainly to the limitation of space. In this thesis, we focus on synthesizing and characterizing a series of azobenzene-containing amphiphiles. By electrostatic force, we got the complex of the compound we synthesized with DODA surfactant. We delved on their aggregation behavior at air/liquid interface by n -A isotherms and BAM images. We also produced Y-type LB films of the complex on CaF2 plate and investigated the films by UV irradiation, FT-IR and polarized UV.We discovered that we not only successfully introduced the azo-chromophoric group into the LB films by the electrostatic force, but also produced a kind of LB film where the part of the azobenzene are of isotropy. Thus, the azo-chromophoric group are given enough room for photoisomerazation. |
