Acidification is one of the most important stimulation in gas and oil reservoirs, and viscosifier is a more important additive, which is used to inhibit acidification rate. A kind of more effective viscosifier can improve the viscosity of acid solution, reducing the mass transfer velocity of hydronium H+ towards the rocks surface, thereby decrease the filtrate loss of acid solution and the reaction rate between acid and salt, lengthen the distance of acid penetration.In my paper, a kind of amphiphatic ternary co-polymer is synthesized by a kind of non-ionic monomer acrylamide(AM), cationic monomer dimethyl-diallyl-ammonium chloride(DMDAAC), and anionic monomer 2-acryIamido-2-methylpropane sulfate acid (AMPS) in the water solution. We screen out the best reaction conditions by lots of experiments in the laboratory. The performance of co-polymer is evaluated in the lab, and in the same time the balance tests of viscosifier CT1-6 is done, which is produced by Sichuan in our country.The experimental results suggest that the co-polymer in the acid solution shows good properties in thermal stability, resisting salts, and compatibility, retarding and corrosion inhibition performance. The balance tests show that the performance of the co-polymer is almost close to the domestic viscosifier CT 1-6, and it has a better researching prospect.
