The paper has reviewed physical and chemical properties, production status and related uses of N-B- Hydroxyethyl- ethylenediamine. Based on consulting the domestic and international reference documents, a reasonable process is determined by a comparison of processes available. Monofactor method and multifactor orthogonalizing design method are applied to get the optimum processing conditions in preparation of N-B- Hydroxyethyl- ethylenediamine. The macroscopic dynamics model on the gas-liquid reaction is established under the guidance of double-film theory.The following have been obtained through lots of experiments.1. The optimum processing conditions in preparation of N-B- Hydroxyethyl-ethylenediamine: Hydroxide content 20%; EO temperature 30 C ;EO velocity 15ml/min;reaction time 6 hours. Under the process, the purity of N-B- Hydroxyethyl -ethylenediamine is over 99 percent through decompression distillation for synthesizing coarse product under 2133Pa.2. It is possible to synthesize N-B- Hydroxyethyl- ethylenediamine using distillation column reactor designed by myself. The final product can reach chemical class.3. The established model on the gas-liquid reaction as follows:The unit of the formula above is kmol/m2 to, the unit of CBL is kmol/m3, the unit kPa, the scope of application: temperature 110C orso,latm.4. Its macroscopic dynamics model is still not perfect, and hope that the researchers interested in this scope make the further study about the influence of flow form, viscosity, pressure and other factors on this model.
