The problem of the transient heating process of the metallic plate under acetylene burning was simulated by using the program of the finite element method . Temperature distributing in the metallic plate was calculated by different methods . The results of different methods were analyzed and compared with experiment results. Through these comparisions , the best method was found to simulated the temperature distributing on the metallic plate.The progress of heat transfer in explosive was calculated . Through calculating , the time of thermal initiation of explosive was obtained. The phenomenon of experiment was explained well through the calculating of the heat transfer in explosive.
