In order to improve the mining capacity of Tonglushan pit and reduce the poor damage rate, on the basis of comprehensive study of literature home and abroad, a new kind of mining method is put forward associated with the practice of many national mines. According to the reserve characters of Tonglushan pit, the mine block of subsection remaining mine suspending full mining(SRMSFM), deep-hole blasting and the gesso fulling technics have been studied in the field experiments in typical terra segment, and the terra pressure in mining empty areas have been inspected with sound emission technology. The conclusion as follows:1. Deep-hole cutting with SRMSFM is the same with a majority of ore and it is necessary to extend the method in the pit.2. Compare with other mining methods which are used in the pit, SRMSFM has the characters such as highly comprehensive production capacity, low poor damage rate, lowly labor intension and prominent economic benefits.3. Cutting and conveyance are carried out in the laneway. And terra management has been solved by means of subsection remaining mine which results in high safety.4. The adoption of extrusion blasting and once-cutting reduces the second blasting. Thus, the explosive consuming and the comprehensive cost reduced.5. The gesso with ratio 60 to 40 has high intensity and high quality of being pumped.6. The terra pressure in mining empty areas pricks up with the exposure the mining empty areas and is weakened with the full activity. The paper have carried out the optimization of ore parameter and deep-hole blasting parameter and the inspection and controlment of terra pressure with the combination of theory research and field experiment. The valuable reference had been provided for mining method and terra pressure management in underground mines with the similar geology.
