The sythesis of methyl glycolate by methyl formate coupled with triformaldehyde with the catalyst of superphosphoric acid is exploring researched in this thesis. The point of exertion is the capacity of the new catalysts. At the range of the experiments, the yield of methyl glycotate is 59.06%.To explain the phenomena of experiments, the supposition of single reaction is made to calculate the pressure of CO in theory, and the pressure of CO in theory is compared with the actual pressure, linked with the gases chromatogram analyze, the inflexion of pressure, reaction course and the equation of reaction. The result of experiment indicate that the catalyst of superphosphoric used in the sythesiae of methylglycolate by MF and triformaldehyde is superior to H2SO4 ,but coursed some deputy reaction. Finally, the reaction mechanism with the new catalyst of superphosphoric acid is established preliminary.
