With the development of the solar cell, scientists are researching a new kind of material to improve the inorganic solar cell's disfigurement. They began to search after a material in organic. At present, there are many kinds of organic materials, such as Perylene, PVK, TiOPC, MnPC and so on.In this thesis, a series of high molecular weight copolyimides containing various scales of perylene and TPA or other units in the main-chain were synthesized. The products were characterized by FT-IR, 400Hz NMR, UV-Vis, fluorescence spectroscopy, GPC, HPLS, DSC, XRD and electrochemically analytical system measurements. They are highly soluble in conventional solvents such as m-cresol, DMSO dichloromethane etc. and form solar cell, organic photoconductive materials, laser technology or molecular switch. The Polyimides are thermally stable up to 400℃ and exhibit glass transition temperatures in the range of 280-340℃. The number-average molecular weight ranges from 3.4×104 to 2.0×103 and the molecular weight distribution meditated between 1.5 and 3.5.Especially, the OPC material synthesized newly contains electron donor and acceptor. This realized that the charge was transforming in the molecule and improving the material's IPCE. This changes the limitation that the OPC must work with strong field. The new material accord with low energy consuming and carry out micromation of part of an apparatus.
