This thesis describes natural diarylheptanoids from distribution, bioactivity, biosynthesis and synthesis and focuses on the synthesis of several diarylheptanoids. It consists of three parts:Parti: The total synthesis of natural 1,7-diarylheptanoid: 1,7-bis (4-hydroxy phenyl)-hepta-4E, 6E-dien-3-one.The first total synthesis of the natural diarylheptanoid, 1,7-bis (4-hydroxy ph enyl)-hepta-4E,6E-dien-3-one was accomplished in eight steps starting from 3-(4-methoxylphenyl)-2-cryclid acid by esterification, selective reduction, oxidation, condensation in presence of LDA and demethoxylation.Part: The study on the synthesis of ?3-methoxy-1 ,7-bis (4-hydroxy penyl)-6E-hepten-5-oneTwo routes were used on the study on the total synthesis of ?3-methoxy-l ,7-bis (4-hydroxypenyl)-6E-hepten-5-one.One way: the starting material is 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-cryclid acid. Via esterification, reduction, oxidation, condensation in the presence of LDA and dehydration,+3-methoxy-1,7-bis(4-methoxypenyl)-6E-hepten-5-one was synthe si z ed .The other way: the key intermediate 6-(4-methoxyphenyl) -4-metho xy -2-hexanone was synthesized starting from 3-(4-methoxylphenyl)-2-cryclid acid by esterification, reduction , oxidation, condensation reaction with acetone in the presence of NaOH. Moreover, the next step condensation reaction is studied.Part III: The study on the total synthesis 3S-methoxy -1,7-bis (4-hydrox yp en y1)-6E-hepten-5-one.The stating material is 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde. Via MOM protection, condensation, reduction, oxidation and Aldol reaction in the presence of L-Proline, 6-(4-methoxymethoxyphenyl)-4S-hydroxy-2-hesanone was derived. The next stepmethylation reaction is studied.Twenty five compounds were synthesized in the paper, among which eight compounds were first prepared. Their structures were identified by IR, 1HNMR, and MS spectral data.
